Working in consulting for retail chain businesses, Mr. Ngoc deeply understands the difficulties retailers are facing: large-scale management, pressure to improve customer experience, supply chain management, and adapting to changes in the industry. Reviewing the accountability chart – removing the root cause of disorder
In the first implementation session, Simplamo experts supported the Retail Hub leadership team by building an accountability chart, clarifying the functions of each position together with the person clearly responsible.
The cause of disorder in the organization stems from the team being unclear about duties and overlapping functions, which is also what Mr. Ngoc shared. Traditional organizational charts usually only show positions clearly without roles; this is the sticking point that causes disorder. Instead, the accountability chart on Simplamo focuses on clearly showing the roles and duties at each position, together with the person responsible.
Building an annual plan – creating the basis for setting quarterly priority goals so the team moves in the right direction at every stage
With the annual business plan already built, the RETAILHUB team sat down to review the annual business plan and break down priority goals for the remaining two quarters of 2023.
Mr. Phung Thanh Ngoc shared two things that must be done if a business wants to grow:
- First, identify the right direction at each point in time
- Second, organize the entire team to move in that direction
Having the team review the annual business plan together and build quarterly priority goals helps the team identify the right direction for each quarter. Setting quarterly goals and breaking them down into milestones on Simplamo helps the team focus on what matters, with clear “step by step” progress.
Execution is always a difficult story, and keeping the team moving in the right direction is even more difficult.
