I. Building a structured operating framework met obstacles
Recognizing the importance of a structured operating framework in the business, Mr. Huỳnh Ích Xuyên – Founder of SCC Holding – was determined to build an operating framework to strengthen the organization’s management capacity. However, implementing manual tools made it difficult for him to standardize data, track progress, and transfer management thinking to the team.
The difficulties Mr. Xuyên faced at that time included:
- No tool to update data promptly, measure execution progress, and provide an overview for making accurate decisions. His team also did not have a shared template to follow and use to build discipline. Management mistakes could easily happen, reducing business speed and effectiveness.
- Difficulty in the “replication” process: An organization operates smoothly and effectively when everyone speaks the same language and aligns around shared goals. Mr. Xuyên understood the importance of this, but his challenge was how to help the team understand the way he operated the organization and share the same perspective with him.
- Pressure in the owner’s role: Carrying the weight of a business and the pressure of daily work left Mr. Xuyên with little time for himself. He always wanted to find software that could optimize business operations, help the team execute goals successfully, and give him more time for his family.

II. Simplamo upgrades the business operating framework and improves goal execution effectiveness for SCC Holdings
By answering SCC Holdings’ difficulties and expectations, on March 17, 2023, SCC Holdings officially standardized its business operating system on Simplamo.
The implementation session, guided by Simplamo experts, helped SCC’s leadership team standardize data on the software, explain management thinking, and bring everyone into the same perspective as the business owner:
1. Completing the accountability chart
The accountability chart that had been built manually in Excel was standardized and transferred to Simplamo. Each member’s role was clarified according to the criteria of the right person and the right work, while unnecessary complex descriptions were removed so the team could focus on each person’s core role.
The clearly displayed accountability chart on the software gave the team both an overview and detailed visibility. In addition to understanding their own roles, each member also knew who they needed to coordinate with to complete work well, thereby raising accountability across the organization.
2. Building the annual business strategy
The 2023 business strategy was built on Simplamo’s standard framework and shared with the entire team, helping every member visualize the full 2023 picture. This became the foundation for the business to build and execute quarterly goals with a clear basis, instead of working and making decisions based on “feelings.”
3. Building priority goals for Q2
SCC’s Q2 priority goals were also aligned under the guidance of Simplamo experts. The goals were concretized with milestones and feasibility, helping increase the team’s proactiveness and ensuring progress was closely followed without being missed. Alongside clarifying questions around goal-setting, the implementation session recorded each individual’s input on their own goals, creating a strong sense of contribution and consensus for the company’s development.
4. Completing the weekly scorecard for measuring business health
With expert guidance and skillful questions, the SCC team clarified the important metrics that needed to be measured weekly so the leadership team could understand the core activities of the business and discuss the company’s situation clearly and continuously. From there, they could make smarter and more accurate decisions based on the organization’s real situation at the present moment.
5. Organizing weekly meetings to break down communication barriers among members
The good-news sharing section in the weekly meeting framework – a point of connection for the team and a way to remove distance among SCC members
On April 10, Simplamo experts continued guiding SCC’s leadership team in implementing weekly meetings. Because sharing was a barrier for people in meetings, Simplamo’s seven-step weekly meeting initially helped remove communication obstacles within the SCC team.
A Deloitte study found that 70% of employees across a range of industries “admitted to keeping silent about issues that affected performance.”
One of the best ways to encourage people to be candid is to help them see that those who speak up remain safe. A Simplamo meeting “starts with good news”; this may sound simple to leaders and even to members in an office environment. However, during the implementation, the Simplamo team clearly saw that this was the key that helped SCC members feel more comfortable and open. If the issue-solving section is the center of the meeting, the initial “good news” sharing can be seen as an intersection that helps members break through distance and psychological barriers, creating comfort so problems can be solved more smoothly.

When his team is aligned around shared goals, works together to complete weekly metrics for the company’s growth, and above all remains consistent in the way every problem is solved, the whole organization begins speaking one language and moving in one rhythm. With Simplamo, his management thinking was quickly understood by the whole team and replicated down to even the most junior employees.
Hopefully, with Simplamo’s standard operating framework, Mr. Xuyên and SCC will grow stronger in the coming period and break through successfully, as the whole team aligned around its 2023 goals.
