1. Sovigaz and the desire to improve goal execution capability
Throughout its journey, Sovigaz has operated with “People” as the center of all activities, connecting the interests of employees and the company so they can grow together. Accordingly, achieving the annual business plan depends heavily on the team’s goal execution capability. Mr. Phong had also searched for many different methods and tools to help the team share the same way of breaking down, tracking, and executing goals better, but had not yet found a method that was suitable and simple enough.
Below are some of his and the team’s expectations when they came to Simplamo:

Strengthening Sovigaz’s internal capability is the foundation for the company to achieve its 2023 business goals, overcome economic challenges, and grow strongly in the coming years. On June 13, 2023, Sovigaz decided to implement Simplamo. With guidance and companionship from Simplamo experts, Sovigaz achieved strong progress after only three months of adoption:

- Strengthening a solid people foundation by building an accountability chart
Clarifying Sovigaz’s organizational structure and the five main roles at each position provides a shared and transparent perspective across the team, highlighting each individual’s value and contribution to the company’s bigger picture. When members sit in the right seats and take on the right roles, it creates the basis for accurate goal decomposition.
- Helping the team become familiar with a new quarterly goal-setting approach that is simple and scientific
Simplamo’s goal-setting mindset focuses on being easy to understand, easy to measure, and easy to remember. Each goal is assigned to a specific person, aligned with their position on the accountability chart. Each goal is broken down into important milestones, and the entire team understands the progress of each goal, ensuring a shared perspective for effective coordination in execution.
Finally, company-level quarterly goals are limited to fewer than seven, and each individual has at most three goals to achieve the highest focus and completion capability.
- Organizing smooth weekly meetings that closely follow goals every week
After agreeing on the list of Q3 goals, the Sovigaz team became familiar with Simplamo’s seven-step weekly meeting rhythm and increasingly enjoyed this meeting framework. This performance meeting framework helps Sovigaz focus on what needs to be reviewed each week (goals, metrics, to-dos), provides tools to measure execution, solve core issues, and automatically generate reports. All discussions are extremely open and full of enthusiasm, with members sharing from a common perspective.
- Organizing the Q4 meeting and successfully building Q4 goals
At the beginning of October, after a quarter of applying Simplamo and becoming familiar with setting, breaking down, and closely following execution, the Sovigaz team held its Q4 meeting. There, the team summarized Q3 goals and continued to build Q4 goals. Accordingly, the Q4 plan was built very tightly, linked from the company level down to each department, ensuring high achievability and strong commitment from Sovigaz’s leadership.
